September is Recovery Month

Recovery is for Everyone: Every Person. Every Family. Every Community.

September is National Recovery Month – the observance, which started in 1989, is held every year throughout the U.S. to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, the nation’s strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of service providers and communities who make recovery in all its forms possible.

Recovery Month is coordinated through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), a part of the Department of Health and Human Services. You can learn more by going to SAMHSA’s website.
